About WKN Windcurrent
As a subsidiary of the German WKN GmbH and a member of the PNE Group, WKN Windcurrent has been developing wind energy projects since 2011. The local team currently comprises eight highly experienced development experts, including project developers, site analysts and land negotiators working together on the realization of wind and solar PV projects based on the highest South African and German development standards. Amongst other development activities, the team focuses on identifying new project sites, securing land lease agreements, wind measurement and analysis, project optimisation, permitting processes, and grid planning and approvals.
As a member of the PNE Group, WKN Windcurrent benefits from a strong network consisting of long-standing experts with industry-specific know-how. Therefore, while our core focus in South Africa is project planning and selling 100% of the rights to developed projects that are “ready to tender” to suitable investors, globally we do offer our customers all services along the life cycle of a project – professionally from a single source. The focus is wind and solar PV project planning services, financing, construction and operations management as well as continued operation.

Energy consult GmbH, based in Cuxhaven and in Husum, has been one of the leading operating companies in the wind energy sector for 30 years. In addition to wind farm management, energy consult offers as a Life-Cycle-Services Provider further services along the life cycle of a wind or solar park. These include technical services and inspections, arranging and negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs), continued operation concepts, grid connection planning, on-demand night-time marking as well as construction management and financial services.
Husum-based PAVANA GmbH is a leading expert for highly specialised services relating to the complex planning of wind energy projects: These cover the implementation of wind measurement campaigns, expert opinions as well as a variety of support and evaluation services. All of these tasks require proven specialist knowledge, the very latest technical equipment and, last but not least, a wealth of experience and assessment expertise.
