PNE AG has sold two photovoltaic projects in Romania and USA with a total nominal output of around 280 megawatts peak (MWp).

The Romanian project with a nominal capacity of around 81 MWp is located in Oradea and was developed to construction maturity and then sold. The buyer of this project is Econergy International Ltd., headquartered in Israel, which will take over the further realization of this project.

The second project is a 199 MWp photovoltaic project in an early development phase in the USA. The customer is a leading operator in the USA. A second phase is possible for this project. After realization, the 2-phase project can reach a nominal capacity of up to 398 MWp and would thus become one of the largest photovoltaic plants in the State of Utah.

These are the first PV projects that PNE has sold as part of its expanded business model. The company is thus successfully implementing its strategic further development towards becoming a "Clean Energy Solutions Provider".

"The sale of these two photovoltaic projects is a milestone in the strategic development of our business model and proves that we are on the right track. In addition to wind energy, we are now also developing photovoltaic projects - at present in seven countries in Europe, the USA and South Africa. At present, we are working on PV projects with a nominal output of well over 1,000 MWp. Together with our partners, we are thus making an important contribution to the global energy transition," commented Markus Lesser, Chairman of the Board of Management of PNE AG.
